Carlos Aguilar

Carlos Aguilar is a graduate of Texas State University. His focus is on graphic design and illustration, and he enjoys working with both traditional and digital media. He can always be found with a pen and a sketchbook by his side. During his off time he likes to work on comics and zines. In addition to his freelance work, he was Art Director for the San Antonio Current from 2017-2019. From 2018-2020 he was on the board of directors for Mantle Art Space. From 2021-2023 he was a creative specialist for ISS facilities management, designing physical and digital corporate assets. He works freelance on various illustration and design projects. He is also co-founder, co-publisher, and designer of Warship, a collaborative art zine based in San Antonio. Carlos writes, illustrates, designs, and publishes his own comics and zines, and has tabled multiple zinefests and book fairs. He doesn't usually speak in the third person, but thought it'd be more proper.
